Description

The holy grail of French camouflage collecting in pristine condition.

Model: TAP 47/56. This jacket represents the final evolution of the French airborne uniform during the Algerian conflict.
Key Features: Correctly identified by the metal snap buttons (replacing buttons) and the removal of the fixed hood and beaver tail, which distinguishes it from the earlier 47/52 and 47/53 models. The hood is removable and attached via buttons under the collar.
Provenance: Authentic issue item, widely used by the Foreign Legion (1er & 2e REP) and Colonial Paratroopers.
Condition: Mint / Unissued. The "Tenue Léopard" camouflage retains its original vivid colors and stiff fabric feel. Finding a 47/56 in this condition is extremely rare.
