Genuine US Army M65 Jacket Woodland | NOS with Tag | 1985 | Med-Long
Description
For sale is a true holy grail of military history in museum-grade quality: an original US Army M65 Field Jacket (COAT, COLD WEATHER: FIELD CAMOUFLAGE PATTERN). This is not a commercial reproduction. It is a genuine 1980s Cold War piece produced directly by the Defense Personnel Support Center (Contract NO.7081-85) in 1985. This jacket is in breathtaking, unissued New Old Stock (Deadstock / NOS) condition. The 50% Cotton / 50% Nylon fabric is crisp and retains its original vibrant body and color. The critical collector value is the presence of the rare, original AAFES paper hang tag, confirming this jacket was never laundered or issued. The text on the back of the tag historically documents that the clothing item was purchased from the Defense Personnel Support Center and offered at cost with no markup or profit. It even retains the original issue price of $34.35. This jacket features a robust, early plastic zipper configuration correct for the mid-80s: the heavy-duty main zipper is YKK and the concealed hood zipper in the collar is Robin. Both function flawlessly. Size Medium Long is robust and exceptionally hard to find on the genuine surplus market. The photo on the mannequin is created using AI and is for illustrative purposes only. The other photos are authentic and correspond exactly to the offered jacket. Condition: Mint / Unissued Deadstock (NOS) with Hang Tag.
