Original US Army Captain Collar Rank | Subdued | Unissued
Description
The mark of a Company Commander.
-
Usage: Subdued cloth rank insignia replaced shiny metal pins on combat uniforms to maintain camouflage discipline. They were standard issue for the collars of OG-107 shirts, BDU blouses, and M-65 field jackets.
-
Design: The Captain rank features two parallel vertical bars connected by small horizontal cross-stitches (affectionately known as "railroad tracks").
-
Construction & Condition: This is a traditional sew-on patch. The raw, uncut edges are meant to be folded under by a tailor before being stitched to the garment for a clean, flush look. Unissued New Old Stock condition, perfectly clean with no fading.
