Original US Army M-1951 Field Trousers | Dated 1951 | Medium Long
Description
The pants that defined military style for decades.
-
History & Evolution: The M-1951 trousers were introduced as an upgrade to the WWII-era M-1943 pants. They replaced button-closed pockets with quick-access snap fasteners and introduced a zipper fly.
-
Construction: Baggy, comfortable fit for maximum mobility. Features two front slash pockets, two rear flap pockets, and two massive thigh cargo pockets (with hidden leg tie-down straps).
-
Details: The waist features side adjustment tabs to dial in the fit, internal buttons specifically for attaching the heavy cold-weather frieze liner, and external fabric loops designed for M-1950 suspender hooks. The cuffs have integrated drawstring ties.
-
Condition & Date: The contract label boldly displays a manufacture date of 20 NOV 1951. These trousers have seen honest field use. The fabric is broken-in and soft with a beautiful vintage fade, yet they remain structurally sound with no rips, tears, or damage.
