An authentic ceremonial gold bullion sword knot (portepee / wrist strap) designed for the Model 2006 (Vz. 06) officer's ceremonial sabre of the Army of the Czech Republic. Constructed from metallic gold bullion ribbon featuring a braided acorn with a red felt core insert. Description

The gold bullion portepee is an official ceremonial uniform accoutrement prescribed for officers and honor guard personnel of the Czech Armed Forces (AČR). Mounted directly onto the guard of the Vz. 06 sabre, it completes the dress uniform for military parades, state receptions, and formal ceremonies.

Historical Context and Construction The sword knot is formed from a tightly woven metallic bullion ribbon attached to a solid braided acorn tassel. The bottom recess of the acorn features the regulation red wool/felt fabric insert.

Grade 2 Specifications and Material Condition

  • Grade 2 Imperfections: Offered as secondary quality due to age-related cosmetic defects from storage and prior service use. Flaws include tarnished/oxidized metallic threads (causing dark or silvered spots), fabric creasing from previous wraps, and localized thread fraying near the tassel collar.
