Original US WWI Meat Can Pouch M-1910 – Used Condition

Text: We offer an original canvas pouch for the US mess kit, officially designated as Pouch, Meat Can, M-1910. This piece of gear was attached to the flap of the Haversack and held the meat can and eating utensils. An essential item for American soldiers (Doughboys) during World War I.

Details and Condition:

• Item for sale: Canvas pouch only (metal meat can is NOT included).

• Authenticity: 100% Period Original (G.I.).

• Condition: The item is in used condition. The canvas shows signs of age, soil, or fading consistent with field use and being over 100 years old.

• Material: Cotton canvas in Khaki/OD3 shade.

Ideal for completing your M-1910 or M-1928 Haversack setup.

Used US tarpaulin from 1945. The tarpaulin has several repairs and stains. It is visibly marked with the name and unit of the original owner, Paul Petersen. There is a 20 cm long seam that has come apart in one place.

Unused USMC poncho in Frogskin camouflage. This is a model from 1945, which already had metal eyelets in the corners. The poncho is unused, but the material is no longer completely soft.

Used holster for a 1911 pistol. Year of manufacture: 1944. Used, but in good condition with no damage.

Used US M43 shovel cover. Year of manufacture: 1944.

M1943 shovel with cover. Both the shovel and cover were manufactured in 1944. The shovel was made by AMES.

US Navy survival knife from World War II COLONIAL PROV.R.I. 6". Good condition.

US aluminum drinking cup. Year of manufacture: 1945.

Used Colonial USN Mark 1. Very nice condition. The blade is not sharpened.

Lightly used M-1944 braces. Sand colour. Nice condition without damage.

German gas mask cover with straps. Year of manufacture 1944.

Slightly used Army Combat Service Gas Mask (Bag M7). Rubber is soft, buttons are not torn. There are a few small rust spots on the cover and straps. Overall very nice condition.

Black enamel USMC field bottle. Year of manufacture 1942.

M1943 Camouflage Jungle Pack. Producer Indianopolis Tent & Awing Co. Year of manufacture 1943. Perfect unused condition.

Used US Army Tent, Shelter, Half. Stamps are not visible. Several small holes and one tear.'see photo. It is made of two parts with slightly different colour.

Unused US Army jumpsuit M1942. Size 40R. Year of manufacture 1943. The overalls are complete, including the inner sleeves. Duck hunter (Frogskin) camouflage. Jumpsuit has several holes see photo.

Rare USMC experimental vest with ballistic or shrapnel protection and DORON plates. Size M. Lightly used stock condition.

This type of vest is one of the test pieces produced during WWII. While the US. Army preferred to use metal plates, the USN and USMC tested the DORON material.

The material was named after Gen. G. F. Doriot, who commanded the Research and Development Branch, Office of the Quartermaster General.

WW II Airborne Command patch.

Oval of the 11th Airborne 511th Paratrooper Regiment from WW II. It does not glow under UV light.

WW II patch of 17th Airborne Division. It does not glow under UV lamp.

Patch of 511th "Angels" PIR from WW II. Does not glow under UV light.

187th Parachute Glider Infantry (11th Airborne) patch. The patch is probably from the period of Japanese occupation. Backing material is felt.

Original Rangers "Diamond" patch. The patch is in perfect condition. It does not glow under UV lamp see photo.

Unused Trousers, Herringbone, Twill, Camouflage. Size 34x33. Manufacturer King Kard Overall Co. Made in 1943. The canvas label has been torn off and is taped to the inside of the trouser pocket flap.

Used Ka-Bar knife with 6" parkerized blade. The handle has two brown plastic spacers. There are signs of use on the blade see photo.

Used USMC Haversack from early production. D rings on the straps. Backpack is marked HD FRY E2.

Unused USMC Haversack with a second type knapsack. Neither part has manufacturer's markings or date of manufacture. The date on the stock tag is 1945. Perfect unused condition.

Original unused USMC Paramarines parachute blouse - Uniform, utility, HBT, Camouflage (Parachutist). Size 38. The blouse was worn under a second type (camouflage) parachute coat. The fabric has two different shades of material on the back see photos.

Lightly used USMC trousers in Frogskin (Duck Hunter) camouflage. These are pants from the test series before the introduction of the P1941 uniform. Waist 72cm, leg length from waist 100cm, leg length from crotch 74cm.

M1 Helmet from McCord Radiator Co. Heat Stamp 370D. Helmet has front seam and fixed loops. Liner is paper from Hawley with Rayon straps. See photo for condition.

Originally packed mosquito net for field bed in Frogskin/Duck Hunter camouflage.

Unused upper handguard for M1 carbine. Third type - 4 holes for bolt.

Original Airborne Troop Carrier patch.

Very nice Jungle Pack backpack in green. The backpack is very little used. On the back is the name and personal number of the original owner.

Unique first type of paratrooper jacket for USMC Paramarines in green. This is a second production series piece with a knife pocket. The coat is in multi-used condition. Size is Small. Zippers are functional. Jacket has multiple repairs and stains see photo.

The 1st Parachute Battalion was attached to the 1st Marine Division for the invasion of Guadalcanal. On 7 August 1942 the unit

USMC rank of Captain in silver plated finish from WWII.

Unused USMC WWII Trousers, utility, HBT, Camouflage (Modified), P1944 in Frogskin camouflage. Size 36. Trousers have been issued but not used.

Lightly used insulated vest U.S.NAVY DECK VEST. Zip CONMAR. Size corresponds to Small. There are small stains on the vest see photo.

US Army 618th Engineer Company (Airborne).

Patch Meritorious Unit Commendation WW2 - 2 years.

Patch 7th Army WW II.

Original US flag used. Size 220cm x 126cm. There are small stains on the flag. The flag's eyes are torn out and replaced with a string. Left in original condition.

The set consists of Overseas Cap, jacket and trousers. All with year of production 1942. Boat is size 7 1/4. Jacket does not show size, but fits approximately a size Small. Pants are in unused condition with the stock tag still attached. The label says Size - 16, Waist 34, Height 5-8.

"Aussie made" uniforms were very popular with members of the First Marine Division in the early part of the war when there were not enough US made uniforms.

Almost unused US Army M1911 Felt Campaign Hat. Size 7 1/8. Cavalry cords. Year of manufacture 1944.

Additional illumination for U.S. Navy 6x30 and 7x50 binoculars. Stock condition in original box. Functionality not guaranteed - for collector's purposes only.

Knife RH 36 Pal with richly decorated scabbard and inscriptions "Bill The Greek".

Used USMC black enamel field bottle. The packaging is the type without a funnel on the bottom. The cover is marked with spray painted number 521.

Used helmet with liner 26th (Yankee) Infantry Division 101st Regiment. Helmet has fixed bale and front seam. Heat stamp is visible. Liner is from International Molded Plastics Inc. Liner is painted with a thick coat of lacquer. It has the insignia of the 26th Infantry Division and 101st Regiment on the sides. Liner has two cracks and varnish has peeled off in several places see photo.

Belt M1 Garand - Ceremonial. The belt is unused, but stored for a long time.

M1 Garand grenade launcher set. The set includes a grenade adapter, fixing ring, sights with clip and rubber boot for stock.

Lot of US medical supplies:

- 1 x tourniquet wrapped in paper

- 1x gauze

- 1x cotton bandage (probably 20 years old)

- 1x set of small surgical instruments.

Paratrooper blouse for USMC "Paramarines". This is the second type of camouflage smock, based on the parachute jacket for the Fallschirmjäger. Sometimes this type is referred to as the third type (the first was not camouflaged). The cut of the pockets is unified. The jacket has 4 large inner pockets. Very nice, only lightly used piece with no damage. The colours are rich. All buttons are functional and none are missing. Size markings are not visible but correspond roughly to size Medium. This particular piece is photographed in the Geronimo publication!: U.S. Airborne Uniforms, Insignia & Equipment in World War II (Schiffer Military History). A dedication from the book's author, Bill Rentz, is included with the smock.

Two boxes of original US slides for aircraft recognition training. One box contains 168pcs and the other 150pcs. The lids of the boxes are torn on the sides.
