Description

For the serious collector of US military history: A complete, Experimental US Navy "Blue Undress" Uniform Set. This is not standard issue gear. The tag explicitly states: "EXPERIMENTAL GARMENT - PROPERTY OF U.S. NAVY CLOTHING & TEXTILE RESEARCH FACILITY NATICK, MA". Dated 1978, this set was part of a testing program to evaluate a 75% Polyester / 25% Wool blend as a potential replacement for traditional Melton wool.Features:

Jumper: Standard "Cracker Jack" pull-over style.
Trousers: Features the traditional 13-button broadfall front with anchor buttons and the lace-up gusset in the back.Condition: Unissued / Mint. A true rarity from the Cold War era R&D.
