An interesting variation for the dedicated helmet collector. Standard M1 covers were made of heavy cotton duck. This unique piece features Rip-Stop construction, bridging the gap between the M1 and the later PASGT era.

  • Material: Rip-Stop Poplin. This makes the cover significantly lighter and faster-drying than the standard issue heavy cotton version.

  • Markings: Sterile / Unmarked. The lack of DLA/DSA contract stamps suggests this was either a private purchase item sold in military PX stores for soldiers who wanted better gear, or part of a foreign military assistance contract.

  • Condition: New Old Stock (NOS). Mint condition.

Technical Specs:

  • Fits: M1 Steel Helmet

  • Fabric: Rip-Stop

  • Pattern: Woodland

  • Markings: None (Sterile)

  • Condition: Unissued.
