This listing is for a hard-to-find transition piece: an original 1977 USGI M1 Helmet Cover. The camouflage is the ERDL Brown Dominant pattern, widely referred to by collectors as the "RDF" (Rapid Deployment Force) pattern. It bridges the gap between the Vietnam War era and the M81 Woodland adoption. The ink stamp is crisp and clearly reads DSA100-77-F-0333, indicating 1977 production.
