Original US Army M-65 Fishtail Parka | Complete Set (Liner + Hood) | Size M
Description
The trench coat that conquered the fashion world.
-
History: The M-65 Fishtail was engineered for extreme cold weather. It got its nickname from the split rear extension, which was designed to be tied around the thighs to trap body heat. Adopted by the British Mod subculture in the 60s, it remains a timeless fashion icon.
-
Complete 3-Piece Set:
-
Outer Shell (1982): Durable NYCO (Cotton/Nylon) blend. Features a heavy-duty brass zipper, storm flap, and two large angled pockets with snap closures.
-
Liner (1973): Original Vietnam-era quilted nylon liner filled with polyester batting. Excellent warmth-to-weight ratio.
-
Hood (1979): Massive detachable wire-framed hood with a synthetic fur ruff, originally sized to fit over a steel combat helmet.
-
-
Sizing (Extremely Oversized): These parkas were designed to be worn over full combat gear and a bulky uniform. A military size Medium fits very large, roughly equating to a civilian Large or XL.
-
Condition: Great overall condition with a rich Olive Green (OG-107) color. The zipper and snaps work perfectly. There is a small cluster of tiny holes on the left chest (likely from a stray spark or ash), but the parka is otherwise free of damage.
