A piece of elite history from the birth of the Regiment! Up for sale is a genuine US Army subdued shoulder scroll for the 75th Ranger Regiment. This specific patch is a textbook example of mid-to-late 1980s manufacturing: it features a classic olive drab twill backing, a thin embroidered border, and a factory-applied clear glue/plastic seal on the reverse to prevent fraying. Marking the Headquarters element, this patch dates directly to the era following the Regiment's official formation in 1984. Mint, unissued (NOS) condition.

Authentic Cold War-era Ranger gear.

  • History & Dating: The text "75th RANGER RGT" provides exact dating. The Headquarters of the 75th Ranger Regiment was officially activated in 1984. This scroll dates to that mid-to-late 80s period (approx. 1984-1989), the era of Operation Just Cause in Panama.

  • Construction: Unlike modern fully-embroidered patches with thick merrowed edges, this period-correct scroll is embroidered on an OD green twill base with a very thin flat/embroidered border.

  • Sealed Reverse: The back of the patch is coated with a clear glue or plastic layer. This was a standard US military manufacturing technique in the late 70s and 80s to secure the embroidery threads and add stiffness to the patch.

  • Condition: Perfect New Old Stock (NOS). It has never been sewn onto a BDU uniform and remains crisp and vibrant.
