Original 75th Ranger Regiment Scroll Patch | Subdued | 1980s
Description
Authentic Cold War-era Ranger gear.
-
History & Dating: The text "75th RANGER RGT" provides exact dating. The Headquarters of the 75th Ranger Regiment was officially activated in 1984. This scroll dates to that mid-to-late 80s period (approx. 1984-1989), the era of Operation Just Cause in Panama.
-
Construction: Unlike modern fully-embroidered patches with thick merrowed edges, this period-correct scroll is embroidered on an OD green twill base with a very thin flat/embroidered border.
-
Sealed Reverse: The back of the patch is coated with a clear glue or plastic layer. This was a standard US military manufacturing technique in the late 70s and 80s to secure the embroidery threads and add stiffness to the patch.
-
Condition: Perfect New Old Stock (NOS). It has never been sewn onto a BDU uniform and remains crisp and vibrant.
