A piece of Cold War history from the Rapid Deployment Force era. While the 6-Color Desert (DBDU) pattern is famous for the 1991 Gulf War, this specific hat is a rare early production model.

  • Provenance: The contract number DLA100-83-C-0552 clearly dates this hat to 1983. Early 80s desert gear is significantly harder to find than 90s surplus.

  • Pattern: The classic "Cookie Dough" or "Chocolate Chip" pattern, featuring black rock textures over a desert background.

  • Size: Marked 7 1/8, which fits a head circumference of approximately 57 cm.

  • Condition: Used / Very Good. The colors remain vibrant with minimal fading. The brim retains its shape and there is no damage to the vents or fabric.

Technical Specs:

  • Pattern: 6-Color Desert (DBDU)

  • Date: 1983 (Contract '83)

  • Size: 7 1/8 (approx 57cm)

  • Material: 50/50 NyCo
