Description

A rare piece of specialized field gear from the Vietnam conflict. This is an original USGI Military Working Dog (MWD) Leash, issued to Scout and Sentry Dog handlers.

Construction: Made from heavy-duty, thick cotton webbing in the classic Olive Drab shade. Unlike modern nylon, this material offers superior grip even when wet or muddy.
Hardware: Features a heavy-duty solid bronze/brass swivel bolt snap. This non-corrosive hardware was essential for durability in the harsh jungle environment of Southeast Asia.
Provenance: Authentic US Government Issue (USGI) gear, identical to the leashes seen in period photographs of K-9 units in Vietnam.
Condition: Unissued / New Old Stock. The webbing is crisp, and the hardware shows natural patina but no wear.
