The white contract label clearly dates them to November 20, 1951. Size Medium Long. They are in used condition with a fantastic natural fade and patina, but boast no damage, holes, or missing hardware.

This is the highly desirable mid-war "Guard Marked" variation. The knife is in beautiful used condition, showing a "salty" combat patina on both the blade and the stacked leather handle. The pommel bears a crisp Ordnance flaming bomb stamp. It comes complete with an original U.S.M8 scabbard featuring a transitional M1910 wire hanger. Crucially, the reverse of the scabbard and webbing features hand-painted "rack numbers" (or laundry numbers), proving this knife saw actual service. This piece features incredible "trench modifications": the M1910 wire belt hanger has been crudely but effectively re-stitched in the field, and two vertical slits were cut to accommodate a trouser belt.
