Description

The grandfather of the modern field jacket. The M-1947 bridged the gap between WWII gear and the M-51 fishtail.

The Coat: Durable heavy cotton sateen. Features a unique period modification: the cuffs have been reinforced with brown leather trim to prevent fraying.
The Liner: Comes with the removable Pile Liner. Condition is exceptional – thick, fluffy, and showing almost no wear.
Hardware: Original heavy aluminum TALON zipper. Note: The bottom of the zipper tape has been manually re-stitched for strength.
Sizing: Tagged SMALL. As an overcoat designed to be worn over combat gear, it fits very large (closer to a civilian Large).

An authentic, combat-used U.S. Military M1916 leather holster for the Colt M1911/1911A1 .45 caliber pistol. This piece features incredible "trench modifications": the M1910 wire belt hanger has been crudely but effectively re-stitched in the field, and two vertical slits were cut to accommodate a trouser belt. Inner flap features faded maker marks and the stencil "G.B.S". A true "salty" piece of GI history.
