Ka-Bar

A US Navy legend from World War II! Up for sale is a genuine USN Mark 1 (Mk 1) utility/combat knife manufactured by the famous KA-BAR company of Olean, N.Y. This knife was the indispensable tool of sailors across the Pacific and Atlantic fleets. The knife is in very nice used condition, featuring a beautifully preserved 5-inch Bowie-style blade with no harsh sharpening marks. The stacked leather handle is smooth and solid. It comes with its period-correct fiberglass scabbard (B.M.CO. / Victory Plastics). What makes this rig truly special is the "rigger/field modified" retention strap: the original canvas webbing was torn and replaced with a riveted leather strap and a civilian stainless snap.
